GGDC Tree Planting
GGDC in partnership with Clark Water and Department of Environment and Natural Resources conducted a tree planting activity held at Villa Maria, Porac Pampanga on July 19, 2019 for another CSR project.
A total of 150 Seedlings was successfully planted on the adopted area. Benefits of planting these seedlings was also discussed by GGDC’s Environmental Officer Mr. Dante Aguas, these benifits include:
Trees Clean the Air. Trees improve air quality by filtering harmful pollutants from the air we breathe.
Trees Prevent Water Pollution. Absorbs pollutants from the river.
Trees Save Water. Helps the surface water to sip through the underground and replenish the aquifer (underground layer of water-bearing permeable rock or unconsolidated materials).
Livelihood to the Aeta Community. The seedlings planted will be harvested in a systematic way, by the Aetas, after 3 years to be sold, thus providing income.
